Should We Stay or Should We Go?

NorthStar worked alongside the African American Museum of Philadelphia to evaluate and update their feasibility study and overall strategic plan as the Museum considered staying and reconfiguring their current facility or relocating to a higher-profile, “destination” location. For the Museum to obtain legitimate funding and conduct development discussions with outside stakeholders. Through NorthStar’s feasibility study for both options, NorthStar’s final conclusion revealed that the Museum did not currently have the funding to explore a renovation or relocations. The project was put on hold as the Museum explored additional funding sources.
